GREYDOLL

As far back as I can remember all the way to preschool my world revolved around art. My real journey began when I moved to the east village in NYC in the 90’s to attend art school. I planned on entering the fashion program and during my foundation year fell in love with life drawing and sculpting. I continued with my original plan and spent many years in the fashion industry. I later realized it wasn’t for me, left the city and moved back to my island. I was lost. I took a course in lost wax casting and loved it, I'm finally making small sculptures. I decided to work with gold as it’s pretty and scary to melt as it spins at a high speed into a plaster mold. Throughout the years I continued painting and drawing, it's the only constant in my life.

As a child I needed to understand my inner world. My Grandmother was my guide as she was a spiritual oddball like me. Close your eyes and explore your imagination she would say. Time passed. I left home, got lost in the outer world of nyc for 17 years, until one day I packed up everything. Understanding consciousness became my world.
